Indian Elections 2014 so important for India

Amazing punchline above , any election for that matter is as importants as the previous one , so how this election is so Important and different from the previous one . Reasons are clear but let us understand one by one

1. Indian National Congress is under a severe threat for its Non - Performance and huge Scams unearthed during its regime as UPA 1 & UPA 2 ( United Progressive Alliance , lead by Congress) . The threat is not just about loosing an election  , this election could root this party out of India scene for a long time .
2. BJP ( Bhartiya Janta Party lead NDA ) which formed 1998 -2004 consecutive 6 years of Government wants to  rebound with a thumping Majority . But whats important is for the first time this party has given a Prime Ministerial Candidate  Mr Narendra Damodar Modi . In this NaMo as called by his fans is leaving no stone un-turned to make sure that they reach Majority on its own.
3. Another smaller parties , regional parties like SP , BSP , JDU , TMC , BJD, DMK , AIADMK , TDP , LEFT all its leader trying to pitch in with some good seats in their states so they can make an imporant contribution in the Country Election

Now as we know that Indian Economy is deep down and is running less than 4.5% GDP which for a Country like India is very less. Under such threat if it doenst perform good over next financial years ,  it may turn up that Inflation would keep increasing , while cost of necessary products would continue to rise. USD to India is over 60 which makes it difficult to put a new plant, manufacturing as cost of Import has increased manifolds

Government has lost its decision making capacity , not juts inflations but the scams to the level of several Billion USD is making a very tinzy state affair.

At this juncture India needs a strong and stable government who just dont follow populist measure and follow the measure which are good for India in long term

There are crises with the leadership in India at one point the performance of the leaders are questionnable and people in India are general thinking of the short term benefits . Under such circumstances would the people of India decide whether it would be a regional leader or national presence leader or whoever comes what action would he take is going to be interesting. India has officially 15 Lok Sabha ( The Lower house or peoples elected representative sits) and 16th Lok Sabha is to be elected now . Let us see how people decide this time , would they stick with Congress led UPA or BJP Led NDA or any Third Formulation . Total 10 phases of elections happen as this is a massive country and security is a huge threat from Naxalites /Terrorist /Indian Mujahiddin and related terror groups .   This would be a test for India and we wish India wins

Narendra Modi king of Controversy or Future PM

While writing the above title I was under confusion should I say him a King of Controversy or not . Well but then I decided to leave it as it is since Controversy for one may be an effort for another . '

Narendra Damodar Modi born in Vadnagar a small town of Gujarat State of India . Its the state known for its rich cultural heritage , good food , tourism and entrepreneurship . Small scale to large scale industries think Gujarat is a place which understands common laws of Business.

While Gujarat was a better developed state but that could not take away the contribution made by BJP ( Main opposition party) led Government under the stewardship of Narendra Modi . Narendra Modi is known for his presence as the able administrator , tough decision maker and a man who has seen poverty what 60 percent of India has seen . In a way he is one of the most able Captain of the ship India to take it to next level . Narendra Modi has won Gujarat People Support 3 times in a row , this is not an easy task . But he has done under the banner of Development . He projects himself as a man of Development for him his core is development of the people , infrastructure and tough stand on policy implementation .

Under his stewardship Gujarat has won several accolades with Central Government and also overseas mission . People of Gujarat has supported him on various infrastructure development projects . He is known for his Business Friendly approach , by organising his Vibrant Gujarat every 2 years , he invites the Investors , business Houses to invest in Gujarat . Several cases like Tata Nano moved its plant from West Bengal ( State of India in East) to Gujarat just because its easier for Modi to provide land at low cost and quick time

Narendra Modi has huge fan following in young India and youth can be seen enchanting 'modi..modi.'in his rally or TV program or whichever platform . He is an able administrator , but his public life is very limited he started just 12 years back as a CM of Gujarat when the then PM Mr Atal Bihari Vajpayee asked him to become a CM of the state as there were political tensions happening .

Narendra Modi on several occasion has accepted the way I am born and brought up is being Hindu , but that doesnt mean I disrespect any other religion .

His Mission 2014 is clear as he says this time its Country First , India First and Vote for India . He clearly is not an orthodox Hindu , he advocates Technology and uses Technology to its best in his Election Campaign . While the opposition had been too slow to adopt, Modi is a fast runner in this . Social Media, Print and TV he clearly motivates the workers at the grass root level . We have to wait till May 16,2014 to see whether he can be the next PM of the Country or still yet something to be achieved.

While some of his opposition position him as pro Hindu Communal, anti Muslim,  responsible for killing of Muslims in India , He is also perceived as dictator which means he would do whatever suites him  . Controversies like False Encounters and not able to handle the riots of Hindu Muslim in year 2002 is a big blot on his career . On the other hand this has helped him to be the Hero of Hindus .

Narendra Modi on the above ground was attacked so sharply by Media and specially western and English media that after independence he might be the ONLY CM who has faced such a high level of Criticism , but this guy kept marching towards the goal of Development  of the State and State people kept trusting him by voting him to power again 3 times in  a row.

Some say that its his Hindutva Image which garners him the vote , while some says even Muslims have started trusting him . We all know that there has been No Single riot after year 2002 in state of Gujarat . By Contrasting Comparison Uttar Pradersh , largest India state by Population faced over 100 riots in less than an  year in so called Secular Government . Assam also had faced huge riots but Media in India never questioned the CM of Assam or UP to the level of Narendra Modi.

In surveys he is being shown as the most popular and likely to become the PM of the Country . We would need to watch clearly how he manage to get 272 seats out of 543 Lok Sabha seats to become the PM of the Country . Interestingly Dr Manmohan Singh present PM of India didnt fought a single Election to become PM .

BJP is doing huge Election Expense or Just a Meticulous Marketing of Bhartiaya Janta Party

Spending , some says its over 10,0000 Billion ( 10,000 Crores) of India Rupees . And this is actually a very Huge Amount , and opposition including AAP , Congress all are questioning BJP expenditure. When I thought to write on this I wanted to be as Neutral as possible .

Narendra Modi in one TV program when asked about this , he said 'Why cant they go to Election Commission or why cant they even go to Enforcement Directorate and do the Complaint against them ?'.

So when I see AAP and Congress questioning the expenditure , not a single complaint from both the parties have been lodged in Election Commission or Enforcement Directorate . This is beyond understanding that the parties are more serious in scoring Political Points rather than realistically stopping such expenditure.

Other Questions raised by the Concerns are who are funding the Political Party BJP . On one hand AAP claims that it shows all the funding details on the website . This gives them an AAP edge on the other parties as for the first time any political entity shows the funding on the website .

There is no law as such which says that Political Parties need not to disclose the name of the any donation below 20,000 Indian Rupees .

Under that circumstances how many people have donated less than 20K to make 10,000 crores which means over 5 million people donating in total 10,000 crore . In India , 20,000 is a big amount by 5 million people even AAP supporters who are more affluent and internet friendly have 90 % people less than 20K may be Rs 500 also . Under such circumstances , BJP cannot claim that 5 million people people data .

So clearly they fall under ambit of RTI where AAP or Congress can ask for the funding .

Its logical to expect there must be a Business funding from Corporate Group to any political party and its not new it happens in every Elections even in America . In India the Corporate funding is not new . For Example Tata gave crores to each Congress & BJP as a politcal funding and they also says that All Corporate Groups have Politcal Funding Trust ( it allows them Tax Benefit)

Section 80 GGB of the income tax Act provides that contribution made by an individual or company to a political party is deductible from the total income of the assesee. .

So if Tata Pays to BJP or Congress it means that TATA is also Corrupt just like Adani or Ambani (alleged by AAP) . A Business Entity when fund any NGO funds clearly on basis of some benefit to the group so they have Tax Benefit , now will that transform to decision making or policy making is a separate issue.In America there is Corporate Lobbying which is fairly legal , all they need is to disclose . Walmart spent 180 cores for Corporate Lobbying in India for FDI in retail there is No Such thing in India .

When AAP only names Adani and Ambani it becomes political as it selectively targets Business Group .

Ending the final discussions I would like to Calculate Modis Expenditure with little knowledge I have and research I did .

Security is also the major Expenditure which is done for a CM by its Government and this can very well be given in RTI ( I would  file an RTI in Gujarat & Central Government to see what expenditure on Security )

A Hoarding for 1 Month on Rent cost 2500 Rs to 1,00,000 Rs depends upon the Location and Size of the Hoarding . But we would divide the Cost on average basis of Each Parliamentary Constituency. If you see an Ad for  7 Big Ad of 100,000 and 35 small Ads of say  15,000 it ads up to 10,00,000  (  1 Million) per month . In a careful Selection this ad campaign is planned only for 1 -3 months of each constituency .

FM advertisement  15,000 for 20 second Slot  ( One FM Channel can cover complete Delhi /NCR and upto 80 KM)

TV Advertisement - 100,000 per 10 Second Slot ( all BJP Slots are less than 20 seconds)

If they have done 100 ad in a Day which means 1 Crore per day which goes upto 30 Crores in every Month

Over all calculation is approx 45 -50 Crores ( 450 Million to 500 Million ) of Ad Campaign in FM + TV

Over all calculation is approx 50 crores ( on Print Media)

A Chopper Charges on Per Hour Basis  is 70,000 -1,00,000 Indian Rupees ( Includes cost of Fuel and Crew Charges)

If Modi Spents 7 Hours ( Max allowed by DGCA)

Maximum Spent is Rs 7,00,000 per Day so if he did 185 rally in 60 days as per schedule it would cost  5 Crores ( 50 million)  of Indian Rupees. I am not counting the days he is taking off. A Recent RTI shows that Modi spent 1.8 Crores in Chopper which is as per the tune of this calculation.

By this we calculate that Spending is in the tune of 100-120 Crores in last two months .

Do you know whats the spending allowed to an MP by Election Commission of India . Its 50 lacs ( 5 Million  Indian Rupees)

Do you know how many constituency we have is 543 which means A Party Can officially spend 271.50 Crores .

The Difference lied in the Planning, you see Modi every where why because Ads are planned like that . You dont see any body else .

This is ONE Thing Approach .

We all know law of Physics the pressure through ONE whole would be higher rather than several holes if a Box is filled with water . One Focus would go long distance . BJP has worked its Campaign Model as 'What ONE Thing we do that everything else becomes easy or un-necessary to do' ONE Thing they have is Modi .

In the above I am not discussing any Leadership or Administrative Capacity of Modi .
